Traveon Newsome

Traveon is one of the nastiest run blockers and finishers in the 2020 recruiting class in Texas. He is a man among boys in his league and plays with a high intensity on every play. He is undersized at 6’2 but he is quick out of his stance, strong as an ox, and violent. He is fast getting to the 2nd level and overpowers just about everyone he makes contact with. He is a solid pass blocker. He needs to polish up his technique a little because he won’t be the strongest on the field at the next level (at least maybe not his first 2 years). The only thing he is lacking is a couple of inches in the height department. On performance and ability, he is a Group 5 prospect. He plays like a low Power 5 but his height is an issue.
