Tobin Phillips

Tobin is a great prospect in the 2020 recruiting class. He played the majority of the season at defensive end but will move inside at the next level to a DTackle. He is big for a DE at 6-4 275 but he surprisingly moves pretty well and is a force off the edge. He causes a lot of problems on his side of the field and won’t stop until the whistle blows pursuing ball QB’s and ball carriers. For a DE, he is slower than what you want, but projecting him as a DT, his speed is on point. He strong and can overpower players. In the offseason, he needs to work getting more athletic, polishing up his pass rushing skills, and learn how to use his hands. This is what he is lacking in his game to be considered a Power 5 offer player. Group 5 DTackle prospect.
