Lamont Vaz

Junior Eval: Lamont had a nice junior season and was one of the key guys up front for Marshall. He moved around the line from left guard to right tackle and has the versatility to play multiple positions. He has a Power 5 body and frame. He does a good job playing to the whistle and once he is locked up with a defender he has the leg drive and strength to win the one on one battle. A few areas of improvement would be staying low off the snap and generating more pop at the point of attack. He needs to continue to improve his flexibility. He should pick up some more Group 5 offers this offseason and has the potential to move up as he progresses through the process.

Sophomore Eval: Lamont is a nice young prospect in the 2021 recruiting class. He had a good sophomore season and showed enough promise to already pick up a D1 offer. Lamont has the size at 6’5 280, the talent, and the athletic ability to be considered by the best schools. He is a physical run blocker and excels at the 2nd and 3rd levels. He has all the tools to rise up the charts over the next two years. He has a lot of upside and we are expecting big things from him during his junior season. Power 5 prospect.
