Garyeon Smallwood

Garyeon is a prospect you need to keep an eye on in the 2020 recruiting class. He is a nasty 6’4 305-pound right guard that has excelled against great competition in Texas. He is violent and has strong hands to redirect and finish. He is developed physically but is an average mover pulling. He tends to come up high out of his stance but works extremely hard to finish every play with authority. He just needs to tweak his technique and sink his hips more at the point of attack to get better leverage. He can overpower defenders but it would be much easier for him if he got better lower early in the play. He has the frame, tools, and mindset of a Group 5 prospect.
