ESN PLAYER EVALUATION/NOTES
2019 Junior Year Evaluation: In 2018, he played for Dallas Bishop Dunne high school. Trinity played Cameron at CB, Slot WR, and he was their Return Man on Special Teams. He was definitely able to show off more of his speed, athleticism, and playmaking ability as an offensive weapon. He was a threat vertically in the slot and was a dangerous return man that had 4 kickoffs returned for touchdowns. He was able to turn the corner with ease on jet sweeps and could easily outrun defenders. On defense, he was stronger against the run and improved his cover skills. He has a great coach in Deion Sanders who he can definitely learn from and polish up his technique and over ability on defense. It is tough to teach 10.5-10.8 speed and should pick up a lot more offers before his senior year. Group 5 prospect.
2018 Sophomore Year Evaluation: Cameron Wilson is one of the top defensive backs in the 2021 recruiting class. He was the 2019 100M TAPPS Champ in track running a 10.5 and has been clocked at a sub 4.4 in the 40. He has good technique as a corner, excellent pursuit and closing speed coming up in the flat, and solid cover skills. He played a smaller role in 2018 but look for him to have a breakout season as a junior. He is already getting interest from big Power 5 schools. His height at 5’10 is the only downside to his game. When it is all said and done, look for him to have several Power 5 opportunities.
