ESN PLAYER EVALUATION/NOTES
Boone was one of the top 2-way players in West Michigan for the 2019 recruiting class. He played inside linebacker and tight end on offense. On defense, he is a big strong kid that is great against the run. Once he makes the read, he is a good burst to the football or QB. He is patience in the box and has good lateral range from tackle to tackle. He is a little stiff and is limited in coverage situations. On offense, he was a big part of the offense blocking and caught a few passes in the flat. Group 5 prospect.
Postseason Honors/Statistics/Other NOTES
2017 1st All-State AP Press, 1st Team All-State Division 3-4, Grand Rapids Press Dream Team Defense. He had 97 tackles, including 14 tackles for loss for a Zeeland East defense that gave up 14 points or less in eight of the Chix’s 10 games. His play helped Zeeland East go undefeated in the regular season. His team won the OK Green Conference championship.
