Da’Metrius Weatherspoon

Da’Metrius is definitely a player you need to keep an eye on in the 2021 recruiting class. He is a 2-way standout as a defensive tackle and left tackle. He has the size at 6’5 309-pounds, strength, and athletic ability of a future Power 5 recruit. He dominates the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and he has two more years of high school. On defense, he is a run stuffer that commands a double team, but he has the ability to consistently defeat it. He has the mobility to make plays in the backfield and out to the flat. He can anchor down and hold his ground clogging up the inside. On offense, he is excels as a run blocker who can create holes and paths for his RB’s. He has long arms and good strength to push and redirect defenders. He uses his leg drive to maintain his blocks to the whistle. He is a bully that has no mercy on smaller defenders and finishes with authority. He is a Power 5 prospect on both sides of the ball.
