Mason is a two- year starter on varsity. He is a wide body nose guard in a 3-4 defense. He fires off the ball fast but lacks the power and hands to move the line back or get through one of the A-gaps. He tends to get tangled up and struggles to disengage. He takes up a lot of space in the middle of the defense but he lacks the athleticism, explosive strength, and movement to be considered for anything other than a D3 opportunity.
