Jaylen is a press-cover corner that brings a nice combination of length, speed, and athleticism. He can get into a receiver’s hip and take him to the sideline without being grabby and he can also just turn and run with them. In off coverage, he gets low with his peddle and has the quickness to break on the ball. He is at his best locking down receivers and has a knack for breaking up passes. Against the run, he is lean and will stick his nose in there, but he has to get a lot stronger to hold up better. Power 5 recruit.
