ESN PLAYER EVALUATION/NOTES
Jay is one of the top prospects in the 2021 recruiting class and is committed to USC. The 6-foot-3, 320-pounder is the defensive anchor at nose guard and a dominate offensive lineman at right tackle. He is an elite player on both sides of the ball. As a DT, he is tough to contain and he has the power, strenght, and athletic ability to beat double and triple teams. He can collapse the pocket with his superior strength and overpowers whoever is in his way. He is a space eater in the middle that can run and get leverage. As a OT/OG, he is an absolute beast as a run blocker. He manhandles opposing defenders. As a pass blocker, he has a wide base and will absorb pass rushers and stop them in their tracks. He owns the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Power 5 national prospect.
Postseason Honors/Statistics/Other NOTES
2018 1st Team All-Ventura County. Offensive Lineman of the Year in the Camino League and a 1st Team All-County. He was a key reason why Grace Brethren won a second straight CIF-Southern Section championship and their first state title.
