Plae is an active safety that can do it all. An outstanding athlete, he possesses excellent speed (4.58 in the 40) and change of direction skills. He has run the Pro Shuttle in 4.21. He is explosive (38-inch vertical jump) which is evident when he breaks to the ball or in the kick return game where he averaged 23.5 yards per kickoff return and 11.3 per punt return. He can fill on the run and cover a lot of ground when playing in deep zone coverage. Plae is an FBS safety. He committed to Rice.
