The annual Home Depot College Football Awards show Thursday night on ESPN honored and recognized the top players from the 2019 football season.
The biggest winner of the night was Joe Burrow from LSU. Burrow took home the Maxwell Award, given to the best overall player in college football. He also won the Davey O’Brien Award, as the best quarterback in college football.
Ohio State’s Chase Young won the Chuck Bednarik Award, as the best defensive player in the country. He led the nation with 16.5 sacks.
Ja’Marr Chase from LSU won the Fred Biletnikoff Award, given to the top wide receiver in college football. He led the nation with 18 receiving touchdowns and 1,498 receiving yards.
Jonathan Taylor from Wisconsin won the Doak Walker Award for the second year in a row. The top running back in college football rushed for 1909 yards and scored 26 total touchdowns.

Jim Thorpe Award (Top Defensive Back): Grant Delpit (LSU)
Lou Groza Award (Top Field Goal Kicker): Rodrigo Blankenship (Georgia).
Ray Guy Award (Top Punter): Max Duffy (Kentucky)
Rimington Award (Top Center): Tyler Biadasz (Wisconsin)
