ESN PLAYER EVALUATION/NOTES
2018 1st Team All-Detroit West. Tommy is one of the top big receivers in the 2020 recruiting class. He is close to being the total package at his position. He plays WR and TE but is definitely projected to be a TE/H-Back at the next level. As an athlete, he has excellent size, strength, speed, and jumping ability. He is explosive across the board and is put together like a college player right now. As a big receiver on the outside, he accelerates fast off the line and can beat CB’s on vertical routes, 50/50 balls, in the redzone, and across the middle. As a run blocker, he is physical at the point of attack and gets really good leverage bending and getting up underneath opposing defenders. He is strong and uses his legs to drive them out to create running lanes for his RB’s. Power 5 recruit.
Postseason Honors/Statistics/Other NOTES
A two-way, two-year starter, Guajardo had 24 receptions for 410 yards and four touchdowns. Also played safety and was the long snapper.
